Our team of chartered physiotherapists are all experienced and specially chosen for their knowledge, motivation, and skills at getting the best from their clients.

Within our team we have a wealth of knowledge across a breadth of clinical specialties. As well as 10 physiotherapists we also have a occupational therapist and specialist nurse on our team. So, whether you are looking for postnatal rehabilitation, support with injury recovery, to improve your sporting performance, manage a medical condition, or just to be a fitter, stronger version of you, we have the experts that can help you.

Lauren McLeod
Lauren McLeodBSc(Hons) Physiotherapy, PGCert Women's Health HCPC MCSP POPG
Specialist Physiotherapist, Senior Pilates Instructor and Director of Pop up Pilates

Lauren graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2008 with a First Class Honours degree. She went on to work in the NHS and privately across Oxfordshire as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Lauren has postgraduate qualifications in women’s health and her clinical experience includes antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy, sports, occupational health, orthopaedics and trauma.  She has particular clinical interest in hypermobility, spinal health, and postnatal rehabilitation.

Working as a physiotherapist,  Lauren has seen the transformative effect Pilates can have on clients. She loves getting to know her clients and empowering people to understand their body better. She takes a targeted and personal approach to her Pilates instruction and has helped hundreds of clients reach their goals.

Lauren offers private tuition, physiotherapy, postnatal and antenatal exercise sessions, and teaches corporate, intermediate and advanced Pilates classes. Lauren lives in Headington and teaches from her small, airy garden studio as well as in homes and venues across Oxford city.

Olivia Prince

Specialist Areas: Olivia specialises in Women’s Health, Ante and Postnatal Care, and Pelvic Pain.

Olivia is passionate about working with a diverse range of clients, each with their own unique goals. She finds great satisfaction in seeing clients progress week after week. She loves delivering challenging, fun Pilates classes while offering support and education to improve health and well-being.

Where Olivia Teaches:
Olivia teaches Postnatal Bump and Baby classes at St Clements Family Centre, as well as Mixed Ability classes at Old School House and St Andrews Church, Summertown. She also offers 1-2-1 sessions for more personalised instruction.

Frankie McBrien
Frankie McBrien BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy, HCPC, MSc in Physiotherapy
Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Senior Pilates Instructor

Specialist Areas:
Frankie is a Band 6 Physiotherapist at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, specializing in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy and Orthopaedics. Her main areas of interest include injury rehabilitation and orthopaedics.

Pilates Journey & Teaching Philosophy:
Frankie loves seeing her clients improve week by week and hearing about how great they feel after a Pilates class. She enjoys Pilates because it helps her feel strong and in control of her body, and she aims to inspire her clients to feel the same.

Niamh Mapp

Niamh is a Specialist Physiotherapist in frailty and emergency care, with a focus on falls prevention and aging well.

Pilates Journey & Teaching Philosophy:
Niamh enjoys Pilates for its holistic approach to improving balance, strength, and postural awareness, which are essential for daily life. Having practiced Pilates for many years and experienced its positive impact first  hand, she is passionate about sharing its benefits with others. Niamh loves seeing her clients progress and hearing how Pilates enhances their well-being and supports their daily tasks.

Where Niamh Teaches:
Niamh teaches Gold and All Abilities Pilates classes on Mondays & Wednesday  at Oxford Golf Club, St Clements and  St Andrews Church, North Oxford. Classes offer a welcoming environment for all levels to improve strength and mobility.

Lee Kelsey

Lee is a hardworking and self-motivated physiotherapist with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to her patients. With over 10 years of experience in busy musculoskeletal settings.

Lee has specialised experience in assessing and managing patients with complex trauma and sports injuries. After spending time in emergency care, Lee is excited to return to her therapeutic roots where she can focus on helping individuals rehabilitate and optimize their overall well-being. Lee’s goal is to guide each patient through their recovery with tailored treatment plans that foster healing and improve their quality of life.

Lee takes great pride in being part of her patients’ journey to recovery, and she looks forward to helping you achieve your physical health goals.

Laura Nobes
Laura NobesBSc Physiotherapy HCPC MCSP
Senior MSK Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Laura graduated from the University of Worcester in 2021 with a First-class honours degree and currently works as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist within Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She specialises in rehabilitating those recovering from injury, post-surgery, Orthopaedic and Rheumatological conditions. Laura has particular interests in core stability and spinal health and the role these play in promoting health and wellbeing.

Laura is fun, supportive and approachable. She makes her classes focussed and dynamic enabling clients to get the most out of their sessions and achieve personalised goals.

Laura teaches Mixed Ability classes for all on a Tuesday evening at St. Clements and will be offering 1:1 sessions in the new year.

Amber Gardiner
Amber Gardiner
Senior physiotherapist specialising in community rehabilitation and Pilates Instructor

Amber is a Senior Physiotherapist with extensive experience gained through rotations at Oxford Health. She now specialises in community rehabilitation, treating a diverse range of conditions including frailty, musculoskeletal, and neurological disorders. Amber’s goal is to help individuals improve their quality of life through personalised physiotherapy interventions.

In addition to her clinical work, Amber is passionate about teaching Pilates. She focuses on exercises that promote balance, strength, coordination, and mindfulness, helping clients enhance functionality and carry these benefits into their daily lives.

Clients and colleagues describe her teaching style as calm, focused, and motivating. Amber teaches mixed-ability Pilates classes on Thursday evenings in Littlemore at Pop-up Pilates, where she offers an inclusive and supportive environment for all levels.

Alice Bennett

Pelvic Specialist Physiotherapist and Senior Pilates Instructor

Alice qualified from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2013 and is currently working in the NHS as a specialist physiotherapist in pelvic pain. In this role, Alice sees the importance of core balance, strength and flexibility on a daily basis.

Outside of work, Alice enjoys keeping fit and has benefited from Pilates herself when recovering from hip surgery. Alice is passionate about Pilates for fitness and Pilates to treat pelvic pain.

Alice offers private tuition and teaches beginners and mixed ability classes in Abingdon where her fun, approachable and thorough instruction helps clients to get the most out of their classes.

Alice is currently on maternity leave enjoying times with her new baby.

Ruth Chapman
Ruth Chapman MSc Physiotherapy HCPC MCSP
Specialist Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Ruth is specialist respiratory physiotherapist who gained her MSc with distinction from University College London.

Specialist Areas:
Ruth has specialized in Respiratory Physiotherapy in critical care and, in recent years, has focused on Physiotherapy for Older Adults and Frail Individuals.

Pilates Journey & Teaching Philosophy:
She believes Pilates is key to staying healthy as we age and enjoys helping clients reconnect with their bodies and live fuller lives through targeted, progressive conditioning.

Ruth teaches a Mixed Ability Pilates Class every Monday in Abingdon at Pop Up Pilates.

Anna Wilson
Anna Wilson MSc Physiotherapy HCPC MCSP
Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Anna Wilson is graduated from Oxford Brookes with a MSc in Physiotherapy. Prior to her physiotherapy degree Anna gained a BSc Hons Undergraduate Degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences and worked as a level 3 personal trainer and corrective  exercise specialist. Now, alongside her Pilates teaching Anna works as a rotational physiotherapist for Oxfordshire Health Foundation Trust.

Anna is a natural coach and helps her clients work towards their goals with friendly and supportive guidance. Anna teaches mixed ability classes and offers one to one tuition.

Betty Rodrigues

Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Betty is a Physiotherapist who graduated from Brunel University, with a prior background in Traditional Chinese Medicine (2008). She began her career in holistic health before following her passion for rehabilitation into physiotherapy.

She has experience in community MSK physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and is known for her friendly, relaxed approach. As a mum of two, Betty creates a supportive, welcoming environment and offers a highly personalised experience with a strong focus on 1:1 support.

Sarah Wheatley

Sarah holds an MSc in Exercise and Health Science from the University of Bristol, following a career as an exercise teacher and tutor trainer across a wide range of class styles both in the UK and internationally.

She has worked with a London-based NHS Trust and later with Age UK Oxfordshire, specialising in Level 4 falls prevention. Her expertise includes delivering exercise programmes for individuals living with long-term conditions such as Parkinson’s, MS, and musculoskeletal disorders.

Today, Sarah focuses on the transformative power of Pilates, helping people of all ages and abilities improve their balance, posture, and strength.

Susie Mack
Susie MackBSc Occupational Therapy HCPC BAOT
Senior Occupational Therapist and Pilates Instructor

Susie graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2013 as a Occupational Therapist. Since graduating Susie has  worked in orthopaedics, paediatrics, and rehabilitation and falls prevention.

We are lucky to work with Susie as she offers an alternative approach to our otherwise very physio minded team! Susie’s qualification and background means that she takes a functional approach to movement and reablement. Susie works to get to know each of her clients and empowers them to reach their goals.

Susie teaches Pop up Pilates Gold for clients over 50. Susie shows that Pilates is beneficial for everyone, no matter their age, background, or experience. Within her classes, Susie creates a supportive space with choices and variations for all. Everyone feels known and included. She incorporates standing balance and functional movements to help clients improve balance, posture and strength in everyday life.

We’re delighted to welcome Susie back to the Pop-Up Pilates team in January 2026 following her maternity leave. Susie brings a wealth of experience, a vibrant energy, and a genuine passion for Pilates. Her clients love her thoughtful approach and infectious enthusiasm, and we’re thrilled to have her back in the studio.

Kirsty Archer
Kirsty Archer Bsc(Hons) Physiotherapy HCPC MCSP
Senior Respiratory Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor

Kirsty graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2018 and has experience of using exercise therapy across musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory specialisms. Kirsty takes a holistic approach to physiotherapy in her Pilates practice and her work as a palliative care physiotherapist. 

Kirsty enjoys Pilates for the sync it provides between mind and body. Kirsty’s classes are relaxing spaces where clients can work on physical strength in a mindful and focused way. Kirsty’s knowledge of the respiratory system means she loves teaching breathing control to optimise technique.

Kirsty teaches effective, focused and relaxing Pilates classes for all levels and abilities, ages and stages in Headington.

When she’s not juggling family life, you’ll find her enjoying a good book or spending quality time with her children. Since joining Pop-Up, Emma has discovered a love for Pilates herself—proof that it really is for everyone!
