Pop up Pilates has the best interests of its physios, clients and the wider community in mind. We will always follow relevant guidelines issued by the Government and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. As these change over time, this may involve changing our measures. Our most up to date guidance will be available online here.
Online or Face-to-Face classes?
As well as face to face classes, we have online sessions available for individuals who wish to avoid any risks associated with coming together. Below you can find out about our infection control measures and use them to make the right decision for you.
Please note that if you choose to register for an in-person course, then you must complete a health information form before attending class.
Viral Illnesses
Do not attend classes if you are unwell.
Group exercise when you are feeling unwell is not recommended. Please do not come to sessions if you are unwell. This helps to keep our classes safe. We ask that you only return to face-to-face sessions when you feel well enough. Your physiotherapist will help you to catch up on anything you miss when you return to class. We have a online catch up programme available on the members section of the website.
Hand Hygiene
Your physiotherapist will exercise good hand hygiene in line with our professional obligations. Hand washing facilities are available at all of our venues. Please make use of these as required.
Your physio will walk around the class to offer feedback and support. Individual feedback, modifications and corrections will be made via instruction and demonstration. If your physio feels it would be clinically beneficial to assess or help you via touch, they will ask your consent to do so on each occasion.
Equipment
Please bring your own mat to sessions. We suggest you clean your mat before and after each session. Wipes are available.
Small equipment be loaned at your own risk. If your physios suggests a programme using small equipment, the risks and benefits of the proposed equipment will be explained. Alternatives without equipment will always be offered. If you choose to use any equipment please sanitise your hands before use and wipe the equipment down with wipes supplied before and after use. Your physiotherapist will also clean the equipment between sessions.
Venue Cleaning
Our classes are held in local community centres, most have multiple users. Each venue has its own cleaning schedule. Please speak to us if you would like more information on a particular venue.
Enjoy your sessions and please get in touch if you have any questions about any of the guidelines above.
