Play-lates! Physiotherapist led Children’s activity and movement class

Children learn best through play. Play-lates has all the benefits of physiotherapist led Pilates but through wonderful, fun, themed, play sessions for 2-5yr olds and their carers.

Play-lates Information

Play-lates is a fun, physiotherapist led physical activity class  for 2-5yr olds and their carers.

We believe that children should be free to move and play. Play-lates is a programme of physiotherapist designed activities and games to help children enjoy movement, develop core strength, balance, co-ordination and support age appropriate gross and fine motor skills.

Carers are welcomed and encouraged to join in the fun too! Play, move and learn together supported by of our senior physiotherapist team.

Each activity is a carefully designed exercise to help children with a specific area of their physical development but they will be having too much fun to notice!

Play-lates is booked by the course block so that you and your child have the chance to learn and progress together. If you would like to try a session before booking, we open up a few spaces for the first week of the half term. You can book these below too.

As well as a wonderfully fun hour of play each week all children are given a Play-lates Movement Check list book to take home and chart their progress. This is full of tips, hints and games to try at home together between sessions.

Why should I choose physio led Pilates?2025-02-13T16:17:26+00:00

Physiotherapists have extensive, degree level training in anatomy, physiology and movement. We spend over 1000 hours studying how people move before we even leave university. All of our team have then gone on to do further study and Pilates training.  These skills help us to assess and prescribe the best exercises for our clients. Even in a class situation we will be observing, modifying and tailoring exercises for each of the individuals working with us. This precision means that you will get much more out of your exercises and reach your goals faster.
