This week in class... The more mobile the joint the more important muscle stability is to it. The muscle complex of the shoulder is intricate and complicated. This week we will be looking at the role of the scapular or shoulder blade the stability and function of the shoulder.
This week in class... Our shoulder girdle is a complex of 4 joints. The joint most of us think of as our shoulder - the glenohumeral joint is one of the most mobile in the body. Yet poor posture, injury and the repetitive demands of our day to day life can restrict these natural and important movements. This week in class we will be incorporating stretches that open up our chest and shoulders.
This week in class... Joseph Pilates is right! But Pilates isn't all about your spine! To be healthy our whole body should be strong and flexible. This term we will be running a little series on shoulders. Find out more in class this week.
